Michael Johnson has over twenty years of diversified financial, consulting and operational experience.  Michael has held senior executive positions in several public and private corporations including Morgan Stanley & Co. and Chase Manhattan Corp. Prior to joining Scouler, he spearheaded the joint venture between Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the Chicago Urban League.  At this joint venture, Michael spent his time helping companies transform into revenue generating, operationally efficient, growth seeking enterprises. Also prior to joining Scouler, Michael founded Johnson Financial Group, Inc. (dba JFG Capital), a boutique financial services firm that specialized in commercial and residential real estate finance. He served as president and CEO and was responsible for the company’s growth from a start up entity to a firm that funded $300 million loans. A frequent guest speaker and panelist on entrepreneurship and business strategy, Michael brings his special brand of insights to every engagement.  He holds a MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and serves on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity-Windy City Chapter and Sweet Beginnings, LLC, a social venture firm.
